What does council tax pay for?
Council tax is used to pay for a range of local authority services. These services include transport, road maintenance, police departments, fire departments, libraries, leisure and recreation centres, rubbish collection and disposal, environmental health and trading standards.
Council Tax is not used to pay for health services.
